Dacia Gallery is pleased to present Off The Grid, a solo exhibition by David Rockwell. Presenting abstract geometric works that live of the borders between traditional art practice, design and technology. David's work uses the grid as a vehicle for expression and exploration. He uses 3D printing to assemble computer modeled surfaces on both canvas and wood panels. What starts as a simple premise (a grid, a set of rules, a pattern) gives rise to a complex composition which constantly changes with the light and the viewer's perspective. |

ARTIST BIO |

|
David is a painter and 3d designer based in New York City. Originally from California, he was raised by New Yorkers in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He studied fine art, graphic design and computer science at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. He works primarily in oil and acrylic, incorporating 3d printing, figuration, mathematics and scientific principles. He exhibits around the country, and his work is in private and corporate collections.
